आज, आपण आपल्या महान राष्ट्राच्या, भारताच्या इतिहासातील एक महत्त्वाचा टप्पा साजरे करण्यासाठी येथे जमलो आहोत. १५ ऑगस्टच्या या शुभ मुहूर्तावर आपण त्या दिवसाचे स्मरण करतो जेव्हा भारत वसाहतवादाच्या बंधनातून मुक्त झाला आणि एक सार्वभौम राष्ट्र म्हणून उदयास आला.

अत्याचार, भेदभाव आणि दारिद्र्य यापासून मुक्त भारताचे स्वप्न त्यांनी पाहिले. आज आपण त्यांच्या कर्तृत्वाच्या खांद्यावर उभे असताना, त्यांची स्वप्ने पूर्ण करण्याची आणि त्यांच्या आदर्शांचे खऱ्या अर्थाने प्रतिनिधित्व करणारे राष्ट्र निर्माण करण्याची जबाबदारी आपल्यावर आहे. माझ्या मित्रांनो, भारत हा विविधतेने नटलेला देश आहे. आपण संस्कृती, भाषा आणि परंपरा यांची एकता आणि समरसतेच्या धाग्याने विणलेली टेपेस्ट्री आहोत.
आपले सामर्थ्य आपले मतभेद साजरे करण्याच्या आणि आपल्या समानता स्वीकारण्याच्या आपल्या क्षमतेमध्ये आहे. या स्वातंत्र्यदिनी, आपण या विविधतेचे संरक्षण आणि जतन करण्याची शपथ घेऊया जी आपल्याला अद्वितीय भारतीय बनवते.
तथापि, प्रगती आणि समृद्धीचा मार्ग त्याच्या आव्हानांशिवाय नाही. विकसित राष्ट्राकडे वाटचाल करताना आजही आपल्याला अनेक अडथळ्यांचा सामना करावा लागतो. गरिबी, निरक्षरता, लैंगिक असमानता, भ्रष्टाचार आणि पर्यावरणाचा ऱ्हास हे काही गंभीर मुद्दे आहेत ज्याकडे आपले लक्ष देण्याची गरज आहे. या समस्यांचे निराकरण करणे आणि सर्वसमावेशक, न्याय्य आणि शाश्वत समाज निर्माण करण्याच्या दिशेने कार्य करणे ही आमची सामूहिक जबाबदारी आहे.
मित्रांनो, शिक्षण ही आपल्या राष्ट्राची क्षमता उघडण्याची गुरुकिल्ली आहे. शिक्षणाद्वारेच आपण आपल्या तरुणांना सक्षम बनवू शकतो, त्यांना यशस्वी होण्यासाठी आवश्यक असलेल्या कौशल्यांनी सुसज्ज करू शकतो आणि आपल्या देशाच्या अनेक कानाकोपऱ्यात अजूनही पसरलेला अज्ञानाचा अंधार नाहीसा करू शकतो.
प्रत्येक मुलाची सामाजिक-आर्थिक पार्श्‍वभूमी काहीही असो, त्यांना दर्जेदार शिक्षण देण्याचा प्रयत्न करूया आणि असे भविष्य घडवूया की जिथे कोणतीही प्रतिभा दुर्लक्षित होणार नाही किंवा त्याचा वापर केला जाणार नाही. आपण आपले स्वातंत्र्य साजरे करत असताना, स्वातंत्र्याचे खर्‍या अर्थाने महत्त्वही लक्षात ठेवले पाहिजे. अभिव्यक्ती स्वातंत्र्य, अभिव्यक्ती स्वातंत्र्य आणि विचारस्वातंत्र्य हे आधारस्तंभ आहेत ज्यावर लोकशाहीची भरभराट होत आहे.
आम्ही या मूलभूत अधिकारांचे संरक्षण करणे आणि प्रत्येक व्यक्तीला त्यांचे मत व्यक्त करण्यास, यथास्थितीला आव्हान देणे आणि राष्ट्र उभारणी प्रक्रियेत सक्रियपणे सहभागी होण्यास सुरक्षित वाटेल असे वातावरण निर्माण करणे आवश्यक आहे.
जागतिकीकरणाच्या आणि तांत्रिक प्रगतीच्या या युगात आपण आपली मुळे आणि आपली व्याख्या करणारा समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक वारसा विसरू नये. आपल्या परंपरा, कलाप्रकार, संगीत, नृत्य हे आपल्या अस्मितेचे प्रतिबिंब आहेत.

आपल्या सशस्त्र दलांमध्ये सेवा देणाऱ्या, आपल्या सीमांचे रक्षण करणाऱ्या आणि आपली सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करणाऱ्या शूर पुरुष आणि महिलांचेही आपण स्मरण करूया. त्यांचे समर्पण आणि नि:स्वार्थीपणा आमच्या अत्यंत आदर आणि कृतज्ञतेला पात्र आहे.
या स्वातंत्र्यदिनी, आपण समृद्ध आणि सर्वसमावेशक भारत निर्माण करण्याच्या आपल्या वचनबद्धतेचे नूतनीकरण करूया. आपल्या समाजात आपल्याला हवा असलेला बदल आपण होऊ या.

Ladies and gentlemen,
Today, we gather here to celebrate a significant milestone in the history of our great nation, India.
