 एका छोट्या गावात लिओ नावाचा एक मुलगा राहत होता. त्याला चित्र काढण्याची आणि रंगवण्याची आवड होती, परंतु त्याच्याकडे फारसे कला साहित्य नव्हते. एके दिवशी, जंगलात फिरत असताना, त्याला झाडाखाली पडलेल्या जुन्या व धुळीने माखलेल्या पेंटब्रशवर लक्ष गेले . 

 उत्सुक आणि उत्साही, लिओने पेंटब्रश उचलला आणि पेंटब्रश उचलताच त्याच्या लक्षात आले की तो सामान्य ब्रश नव्हता. त्याने ते हातात धरताच त्याच्याभोवती एक मंद चमक पसरली आणि एक मैत्रीपूर्ण आवाज कुजबुजला, "मी मॅजिकल पेंटब्रश आहे. माझ्याबरोबर, तुझी चित्रे जिवंत होतील."

एके दिवशी, लिओ एका तलावाजवळ भटकत असताना, त्याला किनाऱ्यावर दुःखी मुलांचा एक गट बसलेला दिसला. त्यांची आवडती खेळण्यांची बोट चुकून  वाहून गेली होती आणि तलावाच्या मध्यभागी जाऊन अडकली होती. लिओला त्यांना मदत करावे वाटले आणि दृढ निश्चयाने, त्याने पाण्याच्या पृष्ठभागावर एक भव्य हंस रंगविण्यासाठी जादुई पेंटब्रशचा वापर केला. हंस तलावाच्या पलीकडे सरकत असताना, त्याच्या मंद लाटा खेळण्यातील बोट हळुवारपणे मुलांकडे घेऊन गेल्या. लिओच्या दयाळूपणाबद्दल त्यांचे आभार मानून त्यांनी आनंदाने जल्लोष केला.

 रॉडरिकचा सामना करण्यासाठी लिओ अगदी वेळेत जागा झाला. धैर्याने आणि दृढनिश्चयाने, त्याने रॉडरिकला सांगितले की खरी जादू इतरांना मदत करण्यासाठी आणि आनंद पसरवण्यासाठी ब्रश वापरण्यातून आली आहे. लिओच्या शब्दांनी प्रभावित झालेल्या रॉडरिकला त्याच्या मार्गातील त्रुटी लक्षात आली आणि त्याने बदलण्याचा निर्णय घेतला. त्या दिवसापासून, रॉडरिक आणि लिओ मित्र बनले, त्यांनी पेंटब्रशचा एकत्र वापर करून सुंदर कलाकृती तयार केल्या आणि गावात आनंद आणला.
