 सूर्यच उगवला नाही तर

        गायत्री मंत्र कित्येक वेळा शाळेत प्रार्थना करताना किंवा घरी आपण उच्चारतो. ह्या मंत्रा तून सुर्य देवाला वंदन केले आहे. सुर्य आपल्याला ऊर्जा देतो, जीवनरस देतो. मग हा सुर्य जर एकाएकी नाहीसा झाला तर ? जर सुर्यच नसेल तर ,त्यामुळे केवढा हलकल्लोळ माजेल ह्याची कल्पना सुद्धा आपण करू शकत नाही.

          जर सुर्य उगवला नाही तर झाडे आपले अन्न कसे बनवतील.कारण सूर्यामुळे झाडे प्रकाश, पाणी आणि हरितद्रव्य याच्या साहाय्याने अन्न तयार करते. अन्न तयार करता न आल्यामुळे झाडे मरून जातील. अन्न बनवण्याच्या क्रियेत त्या कार्बन डाय ऑकसाईड घेऊन ऑक्सिजन बाहेर सोडतात,त्यामुळे हवा आपोआप शुद्ध होते, तेही त्यामुळे होणार नाही. वनस्पती मेल्या की त्याच्यावर निर्भर असणारे जीव जंतू, कीटक, पक्षी मरतील. त्याचा परिणाम जीवन प्राणी चक्रावर होईल आणि तृण भक्षक पशुंवर अवलंबून असणारे वाघ सिंह  प्राण्यानाही त्यामुळे अन्न मिळणार नाही. आपल्याला सुद्धा अन्न मिळणार नाही.अशात-हेने सूर्यच जर उगवला नाही तर हा पृथ्वीवरची जीवसृष्टीच नाहीशी होईल,

    जर  सुर्य उगवला नाही तर आम्ही अधारात शाळेत कसे जायचे? अंधारातअभ्यास कसा करायचा? दिवसरात्र झोपून थोडेच राहाणार? सारखे दिवे लावून पृथ्वीवरील उर्जासाठेच संपतील तेव्हा तर आम्ही दिवेसुद्धा लावू शकणार नाही. सूर्य नसेल तर उर्जा नाही, उर्जा नाही तर यंत्रे नाहीत. मग मानव अगदी आदिमानवाच्या काळात जाईल आणि शेवटी ह्या पृथ्वीवरून नाहीसाच होईल,

      मुख्य म्हणजे सूर्याच्या उन्हामुळे समुद्रातील पाणी गरम होऊन आकाशात जाते. तेच पाणी पुन्हा पावसाच्या रूपाने परत जमिनीवर येते. जर तर हे पाणी वाफ होऊन आकाशात जाईल कसे? त्यामुळे अर्थातच पाऊसही पडणार नाही .
   
      एकुण काय की सूर्य हा तारा आपल्या पृथ्वीचा जीवनस्त्रोत आहे. तो जर उगवला नाही तर आपला विनाश अटळ आहे ही अगदी काळ्या दगडावरची रेघच समजली पाहिजे.
